San Martin, California
We are dry camping overnight at Camping World in San Martin, CA, an approved RV overnight location according to our resource, www.overnightrvparking.com.
It was only a short drive today after a crazy hectic morning of unexpected events. First the turn signal lights on the tow vehicle (the Jeep) were backwards (right=left, left=right), so we went to Heacock Welding where we had the towbar installed last March and Tony Heacock fixed that. He had to reverse wires in the connecting cable which made no logical sense seeing it used to be correct, but we went along with it. Then we proceeded to our next plan of the day, to get the motorhome smog checked for the DMV renewal. Come to find out, I lost the DMV paperwork. Could not find it anywhere! So we went to the DMV to get that straightened out. We passed smog and now we're good for two years. That's the end of the unscheduled events of the day.
We then headed up the grade ( link 1 link 2 ) and stopped in Atascadero to say goodbye to Joe's mom Agnes and then saw Judy, Joe's sister and her husband Ted, Joe's niece and nephew, Lindsay and Shaun and last but not least Lindsay's best friend, Bee.
Finally, a stop at Carl's Junior in Paso, we were finally on the road and out of San Luis Obispo County at around 3:30.
