July 28, 2009 -- Victor, Idaho -- We arrived in Victor on Tuesday the 28th and will stay for a week and a half, until Saturday, August 8th at Teton Valley Campground. We like the campground a lot. It's clean, plenty of space between neighbors, has good power and clean water. No cable, but good view of the satellite for our DirecTV. The people are super friendly (genuinely). Victor is on the western side of the Grand Tetons at about 6,200 feet and pretty nice.
After a week in temperatures hovering around 100 degrees, it is a welcome change to have highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s. Everything is green. It's fairly flat around here with farming/agriculture. Considering the high elevation and the fact that the Tetons are just a few miles (20?) away it seems odd how flat it is.
