Las Vegas -- January 9-12, 2010 -- I flew from Orlando to Las Vegas to set up and help run my company's booth at CES 2010 which was quite an experience. It is the largest show I've ever been involved in, spanning three huge halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center, two of them with two floors. It was a super busy three days. There was a little bit of time in the evenings to explore the Las Vegas strip. The first night I went on a photo expedition to the new City Center which I had seen being built on a TV documentary. The next night I went to dinner with Miranda and Robert, one of two helpers we hired for the show. And on the final night I had the pleasure of going out to dinner with my niece Kristy which was great. The flight home, a redeye had layover in Charlotte where it was 16 deg. I never went outside of the airport so it was no big deal, but that is very cold. Then it was a short hop to Orlando and a drive home to Davenport where the motorhome was parked. |
