October 12, 2010 / Oceano, CA -- Update: We are still here in Oceano, our homebase three months after arriving at the end of June. This is the longest we've stayed stationary in over three years. And we will continue to stay here through the holidays with our projected departure at Christmas time. The current plan is to celebrate Christmas with Joe's family who live nearby in Atascadero. Then we will begin the trip to Florida just before Christmas Day, stopping in Long Beach, California to visit with my parents.
We will then head east through Palm Springs, Las Vegas, somewhere in New Mexico, San Antonio Texas, Conroe Texas to visit Joe's sister, New Orleans and then Orlando. The plan is to get residency set up in Florida for auto registration and income tax purposes. After that, who knows? There are no firm plans at this point.
