Top of the Empire State Building

July 31, 2011 / New York City -- Joe and Gary finally made it to the top of the Empire State Building after being here for three and a half months. It was something we had wanted to do for a long time but circumstances kept putting it off until today.
It was a warm and fairly clear Sunday and the lines were surprisingly short. We had previously purchased the tickets online so we were able to go right through to the elevators.
On the way down, there was fifteen minute wait for the 6 floor ride to the 80th floor so they offered us to take the stairs down 6 flights which took less than 5 minutes, saving time. From there the wait for the ride down was quick.
